Take Test
Before you take the test, please read the Candidates Process page to understand the options available to you for taking the test as well as the steps to follow. Test Instructions are displayed before the test begins. You can also read the overall test instructions below.

Overall Instructions
  • You can either use your personal quota or company/test center quota to take the test. To use a company/test center quota go to a company/test center that offers the test. Once the company/test center assigns you quota the next test you take will be validated.
  • For each user account, there is one free practice test assigned to the user account.
  • You can take the test as many times as you want by purchasing the appropriate credit needed for each test. However, only the most recent score will be considered (not the best).
  • Once you finish the test and the score is reported, the score simultaneously enters the BeyondCore Database and is searchable by hiring companies even if the score is not 'validated'
    • For COS-TP Tests
  • During the test, you will be shown a series of images and you will have to type the data in the corresponding fields of the form.
  • Type in the information from the corresponding image. Please do not enter your personal information.
  • Type the text exactly as shown. If the image says "1000.00" please type "1000.00" neither "$1000.00" nor "1000". However, capitalization is ignored. Thus, "JOHN" is considered identical to "john."
  • The current test only uses examples from the USA. If you are not used to US addresses, please note that the ZIP code and the social security number are always numbers and never contains letters of the alphabet.
  • There are 3 levels of scores available for the COS-TP test: Gold, Silver and Bronze. To get certified, the minimum level required is Bronze.
    • For COS Multiple Choice Testt
  • During the test, you will be asked to answer a series of Multiple Choice Questions. Chose the most appropriate answer from the options.
  • Each question has only 1 correct answer.
  • This is a timed test. The test consists of 75 questions to be answered in 60 minutes.
  • While it is suggested that you attempt all the questions to the best of your knowledge to get the highest score possible, you can leave questions unanswered.
  • During the test, you can go back to previous questions and change your responses as many times as you want. However, once the time is up, you cannot go back to any of the questions. You will be taken to the result table and your score will be displayed.
  • For Multiple Choice Test, you must achieve a minimum score of 70% accuracy to become certified.
