The IAOP® Certified Outsourcing Specialist™ (COS) family of certifications are the standard certifications in the Outsourcing ecosystem for specialists who are involved in the delivery of outsourcing services, are looking to gain credentials in their domain areas and want to increase their demand in the outsourcing industry. Gaining in popularity, these certifications are also becoming the de facto requirement by hiring companies in the outsourcing ecosystem for recruitment. Once the candidate takes a certification test, their score enters the BeyondCore database and becomes searchable by hiring companies.

Under the COS platform, a suite of certifications namely COS-TP (Transaction Processing), COS-HR (Human Resources) and COS-F&A (Finance & Accounting) are available. These tests are based on advanced methodologies from the outsourcing industry and Fortune 500 companies along with student research from the Harvard Business School, Stanford University and the National University of Singapore.

COS-TP
A COS-TP is certified to have the skills necessary to accurately and quickly perform common tasks in Transaction Processes. The COS-TP test is a standardized, web-based data entry and data processing aptitude test that evaluates operator productivity and output quality for data entry oriented tasks. COS-HR
A COS-HR is certified to have the knowledge of Human Resource processes and concepts and the capability necessary to perform tasks and deliver services at a basic entry-level proficiency in the Human Resources domain of the outsourcing industry. COS-F&A

COS-FP
A COS-FP is certified to demonstrate the knowledge of Opportunities, Risks and forms of Outsourcing; Lifecycle approach to Outsourcing; Sourcing Strategy; Scoping; Selection and Due Diligence; Contracting; Transition; The Demand Supply Governance Framework (DSGF) and Implementing a Demand Supply Organization.
